This five-week course has been specially designed to support and guide new, nervous, and neurodivergent writers through the process of submitting a piece of writing for publication in a literary magazine. This could be short fiction, creative non-fiction, or poetry. Participants should come with some writing that they are ready to develop for submission, and be committed to both giving and receiving feedback in the workshop session.

This course can host a maximum of 50 participants. The larger group size allows for more accessible ticket prices. However, there are a variety of opportunities for small group interaction and community building built into the course.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale.  Please note that prices are in Canadian dollars and times are in Eastern Standard Time

$170 CAD: For those with a bit of extra income who would like to support a no/low income writer to attend.

$135 CAD: This represents the true cost of a course place.

$100 CAD: For no/low income writers who are not currently able to afford the true course cost.

Have questions? Email Meg.

This course is offered through KR Moorhead Presents.

The course will begin with an introductory webinar, followed by a Q&A session that will help participants determine their personal approach to submitting, and choose which piece to submit and where to submit it to. At the midpoint, there will be optional body-doubling time for working on bios & cover letters, and self-editing your piece. This break also offers time for participants to prepare their piece for workshopping. In the second half of the course, participants will have the chance to workshop in small groups, then meet to ‘hit submit’ and celebrate their hard work!
